As standard, our floors@home collection is designed for both heavy-duty residential use and heavy-duty commercial use. The floors@work collection, on the other hand, is suitable for heavy-duty commercial use. In principle, however, any quality can of course be used in any area, with the resulting consequences in terms of life cycle and maintenance requirements. A guarantee can therefore be excluded by us if necessary.
As long as the damage is only present in the top layer, it may be possible to remedy the situation with a new maintenance coat. If the damage does go deeper, it is possible to have individual planks or tiles removed and replaced by an installer using special tools. Please contact an appropriate specialist so that they can discuss the necessary measures with you after assessing the damage.
On request, we provide a guarantee of up to 20 years depending on the area of application and the product used.

Flooring from PROJECT FLOORS is not a do-it-yourself product from the DIY store. For a perfect result, good subfloor preparation and, in the case of products that are not loose laid, correct bonding in particular are crucial. Depending on the nature of the substrate, it may be necessary to use a leveling compound (filler) to achieve a flat surface without dents and holes. These would otherwise be visible on the surface of the flooring.
Seek advice from a specialist on site. Any existing old flooring, such as tiles, does not necessarily have to be removed. We will be happy to provide you with the contact details of one of our partners in your area on request.
Yes, all collections are suitable for use with underfloor heating up to a floor temperature of 29°C.
The so-called edge joint must always be left free, as this is primarily a sound insulation. If the flooring comes into contact with the wall, sound bridges can occur. With click coverings, the size of the edge joint is determined by the size of the area and therefore the expansion coefficient.
As the PU coating applied in the factory is also much thinner than a subsequently applied protective layer due to the production process, initial maintenance is strongly recommended, particularly in the commercial property sector, in order to avoid subsequent complaints. Furthermore, initial care with appropriate additives can also take into account the individual use of the property, e.g. to avoid discoloration in hairdressing salons or doctors' surgeries. For advice on which treatment is recommended in your case, please use our contact form or contact our department.
An additional sealant can also be applied in private living areas to achieve a so-called "sacrificial layer". In addition, the properties with regard to ease of cleaning and dirt adhesion are further improved. Simply contact your specialist flooring company to find out which options are suitable for private areas. Of course, we will also be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Our vinyl design floors can be used in damp rooms without any problems, as the flooring does not swell or crack due to its insensitivity to moisture. The vinyl floor must be glued down over the entire surface. Loose-laid floors or click coverings are not waterproof, meaning that moisture can penetrate the subfloor.
Our floor coverings are regularly tested for harmful substances such as heavy metals and emissions (see also menu item"Indoor climate") and show values that are well below the legally permitted limits. Furthermore, our production facility is certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and 14001, which means, among other things, that no recycled plastics of unknown origin are used for production, but only granules with a perfectly traceable composition. The use of our floor coverings is therefore in no way harmful to health.
Originally, PVC is a hard plastic that must first be made soft and flexible before it can be laid as flooring. The chemicals that give PVC the necessary flexibility and softness are called "plasticizers". Phthalates (pronounced Fta-late) are the type of plasticizer most commonly used in the production of PVC flooring. Although to date, despite an enormous amount of scientific research, there are no verifiable expert opinions on the subject, phthalates are suspected of having an impact on the human body and the environment.
PROJECT FLOORS has voluntarily refrained from using plasticizers containing phthalates since the beginning of 2013. One of the alternatives used is Hexamoll® DINCH, which was developed by BASF for applications in close human contact, e.g. toys, food packaging or medical products. The menu item"Sustainability" takes you to the page"Plasticizers" with more information on this topic.
With a petroleum content of only 43%, PVC consists of only a small proportion of non-renewable resources. PVC consists of 57% chlorine, which is obtained from rock salt and is available in large quantities. Chlorine is present in the PVC molecule in a chemical bond that is just as strong as in the table salt we use every day. It is produced in energy-efficient processes and requires significantly less energy than many alternative products. The long service life and low maintenance requirements also contribute to the good overall balance of energy used in the production and use of PVC floor coverings. (Source: FEB)
For optimum care, we recommend PU cleaner from Dr. Schutz for ongoing cleaning, which you can purchase from specialist dealers and should use in accordance with the instructions for use.
All products in the collections have a minimum slip resistance of R9, most of them also have R10 ex works. Please note, however, that increased slip resistance in accordance with BG regulation 181 is only required in certain contract areas, namely where floors come into contact with substances that promote slipping, i.e. where there is a suspected risk of slipping.
Our vinyl design floor coverings have an extremely high UV resistance with a light fastness (EN 20105-B02/2) of >6.
Due to the use of various disinfectants and to improve cleanability, the floor should be given an additional coating/finishing (2K only), for example with our PRO CARE system. In addition, surfaces that are too structured should not be selected.
