CO2 compensation
PROJECT FLOORS considers climate protection to be a very important issue and strives to contribute in the best possible way.
In order to reduce CO2 emissions from our manufacturing, 7,200 sqm of photovoltaic panels were installed during the construction of our new production facility. These solar panels now account for 14% of our overall energy consumption. In order to offset the CO2 emissions produced during the transportation of our floorings, we work closely with the experts at CO2-Partner. Our procedure to regularly calculate the emissions for ship, road and rail transportation has been verified as transparent, authentic and accurate. We then compensate for these emissions by supporting various reforestation projects, such as those in the rain forests in the Amazon Basin and in Kibale National Park in Uganda, through the non-profit association PRIMAKLIMA.
