CO2 Sequestration
PROJECT FLOORS considers climate protection to be a very important issue and strives to contribute in the best possible way.
On the one hand, the aim is to reduce CO₂ emissions as much as possible. When constructing our new production facility, we therefore installed solar panels covering an area of 7,200 square metres. Solar energy can thus cover 14 per cent of our total energy consumption.
On the other hand, we take responsibility for the CO₂ emissions generated by our business operations. Initially, the focus was on emissions from the transport of our goods: we regularly measured CO₂ emissions from shipping, road and rail transport. Together with the non-profit organisation PRIMAKLIMA, we have been supporting reforestation and forest conservation projects in Bolivia and Uganda since 2019. Since 2026, we have been implementing a comprehensive climate protection initiative across our entire business and supporting a reforestation project in Nicaragua. The process has been audited by independent experts from CO2-Partner for transparency, traceability, accuracy and completeness.
