Markus Dünkelmann, former shareholder and managing director of the company
based in Hürth/Köln, has sold his entire shareholding interest in the company (70%)
to his manufacturing partner Vinyl Tech Enterprise Co., Ltd. in Taiwan with effect
from November 1st 2012. The purchase price were not disclosed.
Vinyl Tech is a family-run business employing 300 people, producing solely
LVT products, and is going to celebrate their 30th aniversary in 2014, which means a
lot of experience.
Dünkelmann will remain/continue as managing director, responsible for the european
market and equipped with the appropriate authority.
„Looking at a changing marketplace and also at the competition situation in europe,
this was a sensible and important step. We are excited to grow our business and
to create an even stronger market position and brand. This will need fundamental
investments in Logistics, Marketing, IT and Personnel Development which we are
ready to implement right now“.
Vinyl Tech currently is building a new, top-modern factory with a huge production
capacity and will be ready to start producing in summer 2013.
In 2011 with the existing factory Vinyl Tech has manufactured 6,5 Mio. square
metres of LVT and sold in USA, Asia, Middle East,Australia & New Zealand, India,
Africa and Europe. More than 1/3 of this was distributed via PROJECT FLOORS.
Markus Dünkelmann, who founded PROJECT FLOORS together with his Taiwaneese
partners 13 years ago, has managed to develope a turnover of more than 20 Mil. €
(2011) supported by a great team. For the year 2012 the company is expecting a
sales increase of 15-17%.
„The GmbH is very healthy and profitable and I am proud of what we have achieved
in the past, but now as a 100% daughter of manufacturer Vinyl Tech we intend to
meet more and no less ambitious goals.“, so the final statement of M. Dünkelmann.
PROJECT FLOORS will present its ranges for the first time at ORGATEC fair in Cologne from October 23rd to October 27th.
Together with M.I.D. Carpets BV from the Netherlands we will show the possibilities of design floor coverings in office buildings at our booth H021 in hall 10.1.
This partnership shows that resilient and textile floorings do not replace each other here, but can be combined perfectly in different areas of an office building.
